Our Products > STRAIGHT STAIRLIFTS
Straight stairlifts can be installed quickly without fuss. We can supply new, reconditioned and rental stairlifts from a variety of manufacturers. We greatly value our independence and take pride in our ability to recommend the most suitable stairlift for both the client and fitting location. With new and reconditioned units available we should have a stairlift to suit your budget.
A standard straight stairlift should have a manual swivel seat, seat belt, arm control, two remote controls, be fitted direct to the stairs, fold up when not in use and be battery powered. We can supply a straight stairlift designed to carry a 30stone client if required (25stone standard). Standard options include a powered swivel seat, hinge track downstairs and a footplate linkage.
Over the last few years prices of new stairlifts have fallen considerably. It is now possible to buy a new stairlift for around the same price that a second hand lift would have been 10 or 15 years ago. Consequently many perfectly serviceable stairlifts are being scrapped. Here at Dolphin we have a variety of straight stairlifts in stock, ready to install.
For a limited time we will supply and install a straight reconditioned stairlift in East and North Yorkshire for £900.00, including a 2 year parts and labour warranty*

Regular asked questions
Q: Are you anything to do with Dolphin Bathrooms?
A: No, we are a totally independent group of companies specialising in stairlifts and equipment for the less able.
Q: Do stairlifts fit to the walls or the stairs?
A: All currently manufactured stairlifts fit to the tread of the stairs, except one or two wheelchair stair lifts (mainly for public buildings).
Q: What happens if there is a power cut?
A: The lift will continue to operate on the battery back up if you possess a battery powered lift. All new lifts are battery powered however some reconditioned stairlift may not have this back up facility.
Q: How do I charge the batteries, if I buy a battery powered lift?
A: Some manufacturers have a constant charge, others automatically recharge when the lift is at the top or bottom of the stairs.
Q: Do I have to pay for a quotation?
A: No. Most suppliers will provide free quotations. However, beware of hard sales techniques, special "one off" offers etc. They are not always what they seem.
